Pentagon Tries to Stop DeepSeek as Employees Link to Chinese Servers

DeepSeek’s privacy policy explicitly states that it stores user data on Chinese servers and is governed by Chinese law, which requires cooperation with the country’s intelligence agencies. Despite this, U.S. Department of Defense workers were reportedly using the service, connecting their work computers to Chinese servers for at least two days. The Pentagon has begun blocking DeepSeek on some of its networks, but some employees still have access, raising national security concerns. The U.S. Navy has also banned its employees from accessing DeepSeek due to security and ethical issues.
