Warp, established in 2021, aims to enhance shipping supply chains for companies by leveraging its technology-driven network of shippers, carriers, and warehouses. Now, the company is venturing into the realm of automation by introducing robots to optimize its warehouse operations.

The Implementation of Robotics

Daniel Sokolovsky, the CEO of Warp, highlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing shipping efficiency for clients such as Walmart, Gopuff, and HelloFresh. With advancements in AI, Warp saw an opportunity to automate processes within its warehouses, focusing on tasks that could be optimized through technology.

Testing and Progress

To kickstart this initiative, Warp equipped its test warehouse in Los Angeles with cameras and utilized computer vision to create a virtual simulation. By experimenting with different approaches, Warp identified successful strategies for incorporating robots into its warehouse operations. This included training off-the-shelf robots with additional technology for improved performance.
