Apple recently announced at WWDC 2025 that Visual Intelligence, its AI-powered image analysis technology, is coming to the iPhone screen in iOS 26.
Visual Intelligence aims to make it easier and quicker to interact with the content on your iPhone, working seamlessly with any app. For instance, by simply pressing a button, you can use Visual Intelligence to conduct an image search for items you see on your screen, such as a gray jacket, on Google Search or other frequently used apps.
On the iPhone’s screen, Visual Intelligence offers handy shortcuts, like swiftly adding an event to your calendar based on the context it recognizes. It can extract details like date, time, and location and automatically fill them in a calendar entry. Additionally, you have the option to upload screenshots to ChatGPT for further analysis and information.
Moreover, developers have the opportunity to integrate Apple Intelligence into their apps, allowing for enhanced search capabilities across different applications using Visual Intelligence with the iPhone camera.
