Beats’ unexpected move into the iPhone 16 case market comes as a surprise to many, considering Apple’s acquisition of the headphone maker 10 years ago. While the initial deal focused on the transformation of Beats Music into an Apple-branded service, Apple has allowed Beats to continue operating independently.

The new $49 cases are designed to work seamlessly with MagSafe and the iPhone’s Camera Control button. Constructed from polycarbonate with soft fiber interiors, these cases have been launched following the discontinuation of the FineWoven line. Beats emphasizes that the new cases feature a glossy scratch-resistant coating for enhanced protection, aiming to address the issues faced by their predecessors.
