Certiverse Raises $11 Million Series A Funding

Certification platform Certiverse announced this week that it raised an $11 million Series A funding round led by Cherryrock Capital. Founded in 2019 by Ruben Garcia, Tyler Meadlin, Pablo Meyer, and Federico Lopez, the company aims to help organizations develop certification exams at a lower cost compared to traditional methods.

Certifications for Technical Skills and Job Prospects

Certifications have long been used as a way to acquire technical skills and enhance job prospects. Certiverse works with a variety of companies, including The Linux Foundation and HashiCorp, to provide certification exam services. CEO Ruben Garcia, who previously co-founded Innovative Exams, emphasizes the importance of certifications as transformative opportunities for professionals.

Plans for Growth and Automation

With the new funding, Certiverse plans to enhance its platform with more automation, aiming to make exam creation easier for users. Garcia’s focus is on scaling the platform to onboard 1,000 new clients and partners. The company has raised a total of over $16 million to date, with the recent funding round including investors like Chingona Ventures, Hyde Park Venture Partners, and Zeal Capital Partners.
