Google Chrome is making it easier for users to access their tab groups and recently opened tabs on all their devices. This feature is now available on iOS devices, allowing users to create new tab groups or add tabs to existing groups by long-pressing on a tab in the Chrome app. Users can also assign color codes to tab groups. With this update, Google is aiming to match Safari’s tab grouping feature.
Syncing tab groups across devices will be available soon, making it convenient for users to access saved tabs from different devices. This feature will be useful for tasks like planning a trip or following a recipe from your desktop to your phone in the kitchen.
Google is also experimenting with a feature that suggests currently opened tabs on one device when users switch to another device. This can be helpful when users have trouble remembering URLs or need to continue reading an article on a different device.
Although these features are not yet available, we look forward to seeing how well the handoff between devices will work once they are rolled out.
