Context, a startup focused on developing an AI-powered office suite, recently announced that it raised $11 million in a seed funding round led by Lux Capital, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures and General Catalyst. This latest round brings the total amount raised by the company to approximately $15.75 million, valuing Context at $70 million.

Context boasts a user-friendly interface with a central chat box where users can interact with the AI tool to conduct research, create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, and collaborate on different artifacts. Semrai clarified that Context is not intended to replace comprehensive office suites like Microsoft 365 but rather targets a niche market underserved by existing tools. In the near future, Context plans to offer offline functionality, allowing users to perform data analysis and document drafting based on existing data and documents via the desktop client.
