AI-powered Browsers Enhancing User Experience

AI-powered browsers are currently not as advanced as promised, but efforts are being made to simplify tasks for users by allowing easy repetition of prompts for frequently performed tasks.

Introducing Dia Browser’s Skills Feature

The Browser Company’s Dia browser includes a skills feature that enables users to command the browser to perform tasks or create code snippets based on prompts. For example, users can request the browser to find upcoming events nearby and save the prompt for future use, accessible through shortcuts.

The Browser Company recently launched the official gallery for skills, offering a variety of skills categorized for users to easily add to their own library by copying the prompts.

Perplexity’s Comet browser is also set to introduce a similar feature, providing ready-made shortcuts for tasks like tab organization, meeting preparation, and social media trend research. Users will also have the ability to create custom scripts using natural language prompts for common tasks.
