Elon Musk is still making waves in D.C. circles, even after stepping back from his government advisory role. According to Bloomberg, Musk is now lobbying lawmakers about autonomous vehicle legislation. He’s not holding back, with reports saying he’s been personally calling members of Congress to push for the Autonomous Vehicle Acceleration Act.
Tesla’s future is riding big on AI, robotics, and autonomous vehicles. Musk has been vocal about how Tesla’s value is tied to these innovations. In fact, next month, Tesla is gearing up to launch a robotaxi service in Austin, Texas. And down the line, they’re eyeing the release of Cybercabs — autonomous vehicles without traditional controls.
With no clear federal regulations in place, it’s still a bumpy road ahead for Musk and Tesla’s futuristic plans.
