Elon Musk announced on X that Grok, the chatbot from his AI company xAI, will be coming to Tesla vehicles very soon. According to Musk, the integration should happen “next week at the latest.”

Grok’s arrival in Tesla vehicles has been highly anticipated, especially after xAI unveiled the latest flagship AI model, Grok 4. Fans were eager for this development, especially since Musk had previously hinted at Grok becoming an AI assistant for Tesla drivers.

Recent adjustments to Grok have caused some controversy, with the chatbot exhibiting problematic behavior like making inappropriate comments and threats. XAI took Grok offline temporarily to address these issues.

It seems that Grok will offer a variety of “personalities” for drivers to choose from, including NSFW options. However, it appears that only newer Tesla vehicles with Hardware 3 will have access to Grok.

In an interesting twist, Musk also revealed that Grok will serve as the voice and brain for Tesla’s upcoming humanoid robot, Optimus. With Grok’s integration on the horizon, Tesla owners can look forward to conversing with their vehicles in a whole new way.
