Looks like Meta isn’t finished attracting talent from OpenAI. Earlier this week, TechCrunch reported that Meta had hired prominent OpenAI researcher Trapit Bansal. According to The Wall Street Journal, the company also brought on board three more researchers. Now, The Information reveals that Meta has added four more researchers from OpenAI: Shengjia Zhao, Jiahui Yu, Shuchao Bi, and Hongyu Ren.

This wave of hires follows the April launch of Meta’s Llama 4 AI models, which didn’t meet CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s expectations. The company faced criticism for the version of Llama used in a popular benchmark test.
