### New Funding Round Details

According to Bloomberg, SoftBank is set to contribute $7.5 billion initially, with an additional $2.5 billion coming from an investor syndicate. Other prominent funds like Magnetar Capital, Coatue Management, Founders Fund, and Altimeter Capital Management are also in talks to join the round, with Magnetar considering an investment of $1 billion.

### Impressive Valuation Projection

OpenAI’s previous funding round, led by Thrive Capital in October 2024, raised $6.6 billion at a $157 billion valuation. However, Bloomberg’s latest report indicates that the upcoming mega-round could skyrocket the company’s valuation to a staggering $300 billion.
