Welcome to the Edtech World

Big news in the education tech world! PowerSchool, the edtech giant, recently experienced a data breach that exposed highly sensitive information of its customers. From Social Security numbers to grades and medical records, the hackers got their hands on it all.

What You Need to Know

According to a recent FAQ sent to affected customers, the breach occurred in December and was confirmed by PowerSchool just this week. The hackers managed to access personal information, including contact details, Social Security numbers, and even some medical and grade information of students and teachers.

But don’t worry, PowerSchool assures that they have taken measures to prevent further unauthorized use of the data. They even worked with CyberSteward to negotiate with the threat actors behind the breach.
