Tesla’s iconic Cybertruck is making headlines once again with its sixth recall in just one year since its launch.
Faulty Drive Inverter
This time, the recall affects 2,431 units of the 2024 Cybertruck, built between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024. The issue? A faulty drive inverter that could lead to a loss of torque, ultimately impacting the vehicle’s propulsion and increasing the risk of a collision.
Physical Replacement
Unlike a previous recall that required an over-the-air update, this time Tesla will physically replace the recalled drive inverter free of charge. Safety is a top priority for the EV-maker, and they are taking swift action to address the issue.
Previous Recalls
This isn’t the first time the Cybertruck has faced recalls this year. In April, there was a recall for a sticky accelerator pedal, and in June, another recall was issued to fix potentially loose trim pieces and defective windshield wipers.
Tesla remains committed to ensuring the safety and performance of its vehicles, and owners can rest assured that the company is taking proactive steps to address any issues that may arise.
