Hardware company Plaud.ai has just launched its latest physical notetaker, the Plaud AI Pro, priced at $179. This device comes two years after the original Plaud Note and a year after the company released an AI pin.

Compact and Convenient

For those unfamiliar, the Plaud Note is a credit-card-sized hardware notetaker that can be attached to the back of your phone, making it easy to take notes during calls or in-person meetings. The Note Pro maintains this compact design but introduces a small 0.95-inch AMOLED screen displaying useful information like recording indicators and battery levels.

Enhanced Features

The Note Pro boasts a 30-hour recording capacity within standard range, extendable to 50 hours with a shorter range of 9.8 feet on a single charge. With four MEMS mics, doubling the previous model’s capacity, the Note Pro offers improved audio capture within a range of 16.4 feet. It also features automatic call and in-person meeting detection, eliminating the need for manual switches.

App Updates and More

Plaud.ai is also updating its companion app with innovative features. Users can now take text notes on their phones, add images, and benefit from multidimensional summaries. These summaries provide insights in different formats, aiding in key insights extraction. Additionally, a new beta feature allows users to search through their notes efficiently.

The Plaud Note Pro is available for preorder at $179/£169, with shipping scheduled for October 2025. Preorders include 600 complimentary transcription minutes and a magnetic case. Users can enjoy 300 free transcription minutes monthly, with additional minutes available through a paid plan or one-time top-up.

Plaud has seen significant success with over a million units shipped and nearly half of users upgrading to the Pro plan. In a market where many AI device makers have faced challenges, Plaud has managed to carve out its own niche successfully.
