Meta is reportedly collaborating with the Italian high fashion brand, Prada, to develop AI smart glasses, as reported by CNBC. The release date for Meta’s Prada smart glasses is still unknown.
Expanding Partnerships
This partnership with Prada shows Meta’s intention to extend its AI smart glasses technology to more fashion companies beyond its current collaboration with EssilorLuxottica. While Meta has predominantly worked with EssilorLuxottica and its various brands, Prada is a new addition to their list of partners.
Previous Success
Meta has already achieved success with their Ray-Ban Meta AI smart glasses, selling millions of units. Additionally, the company has hinted at a collaboration with Oakley, another brand under EssilorLuxottica. The Oakley smart glasses are expected to be priced at around $360 and could be announced soon.
