WhatsApp is now officially available on iPad, as announced by Meta. The new iPad app allows users to make video and audio calls with up to 32 people, share their screen, and utilize both front and back cameras. Prior to this release, iPad users had to resort to using the web version of WhatsApp in a browser.

Users can now take advantage of iPadOS multitasking features with the new app, including Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over. These features enable users to multitask, such as viewing multiple apps simultaneously, sending messages while browsing the web, or researching options for a group trip while on a call. This eliminates the need to switch away from WhatsApp on mobile devices when performing such tasks.
Compatibility with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil
WhatsApp ensures that the new iPad app is compatible with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, offering a seamless user experience. Furthermore, users can sync their messages, calls, and media across their iPhone, Mac, and other devices while maintaining end-to-end encryption for privacy and security.
Upcoming Instagram iPad App
In addition to the WhatsApp iPad app, Meta’s Instagram is reportedly working on its own iPad app. This move aligns with Meta’s strategy to expand its services across various platforms. Users can now download the dedicated WhatsApp iPad app from the App Store for a more optimized experience.
