Apple Wallet is about to become your new travel buddy, as announced by Apple at WWDC 2025. The app will soon be able to store a digital version of your passport, and boarding passes are getting a makeover with features designed to simplify your travel experience.

New Passport Feature

The new passport feature is not meant to replace your physical passport, but it can be used in apps requiring age and identity verification, as well as at supported TSA checkpoints. This digital passport could be a lifesaver for those who haven’t yet obtained their Real ID.

Enhanced Boarding Passes

Boarding passes have always been conveniently stored in the Wallet app for quick access from the lock screen. With iOS 26, they are receiving a range of new features. Boarding passes will now include links to terminal maps, making it easier to navigate to the gate or baggage claim.
