Google has unveiled a new device protection program called Pixel Care+, aiming to offer a higher level of coverage and peace of mind to Google hardware owners. This new program replaces Google Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection in the U.S., ensuring that current monthly subscribers will seamlessly transition to this upgraded plan in the upcoming months.
A Comprehensive Protection Plan
Pixel Care+ comes with a range of benefits, including unlimited claims for accidental damage, extended warranty coverage, and mechanical damage protection. Users can enjoy $0 screen and battery repairs, $0 post-warranty malfunction claims, priority support from Pixel experts, and access to genuine Google parts and replacements. Additionally, the program offers self-service claims through the Google Store website, along with optional loss and theft coverage.
Enhanced User Experience
Furthermore, Pixel Care+ subscribers will receive free upgraded shipping on replacements, with next-day shipping available. Pricing for Pixel Care+ varies based on the device, for instance, a Pixel 10 user can opt for a $10 per month plan or a $199 two-year package.
Availability and Convenience
Starting from Wednesday, Pixel Care+ is available in the U.S. for eligible devices such as the Pixel 8 and above, Pixel Watch 2 and above, Fitbit devices, and more. Users can easily add the program within 60 days of purchase and open claims directly through the Google Store or the My Pixel App, selecting a convenient location and time for repair.
With Pixel Care+, Google aims to provide users with comprehensive protection, quality service, and a seamless experience for their Google hardware devices.
