Former CNN anchor Don Lemon announced on Wednesday that he is parting ways with Elon Musk’s X, just months after plans for “The Don Lemon Show” on the platform fell through. Lemon cited X’s new terms of service, which require all disputes to be handled in a Texas court, as the reason for his departure.

Video partnerships with big names like Tulsi Gabbard and Jim Rome were part of X’s push for content, including a deal with Lemon that ultimately fell apart during contract negotiations. An uncomfortable interview with Musk led to the deal’s cancellation, with Musk reportedly texting Lemon’s agent to say “contract is canceled.”

Tech and VC heavyweights are now part of the Disrupt 2025 agenda, while Lemon’s lawsuit against Musk and X for alleged false pretenses continues to unfold.
