YouTube has officially launched its new “Add Yours” sticker for YouTube Shorts, following its initial announcement in July. This feature allows users to create their own take on a creator’s video, similar to Instagram’s feature of the same name. Taking a cue from TikTok’s “duet” tool, this sticker encourages users to interact and create content in response to original videos.

The “Add Yours” sticker opens up possibilities for sparking chains of content, such as sharing videos of pets or showcasing daily outfits. By simply adding the sticker after recording a video, users can prompt others to join in and create their own Shorts in response. The feature is part of a larger suite of tools for creators, including the ability to automatically convert longer videos into Shorts and customize captions with different fonts and colors.
