Former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, after concluding a long career at the semiconductor giant, has unveiled his next endeavor. Gelsinger is now focused on ensuring that AI models support human values and well-being. In collaboration with the “faith tech” company Gloo, he has launched a new benchmark called Flourishing AI (FAI). This benchmark, based on The Global Flourishing Study directed by Harvard and Baylor University, aims to assess how well AI models align with key human values. Gloo incorporated seven core categories from the study, including Character and Virtue, Close Social Relationships, Happiness and Life Satisfaction, Meaning and Purpose, Mental and Physical Health, Financial and Material Stability, and Faith and Spirituality. In an interview with The New Stack, Gelsinger emphasized his long-standing involvement at the intersection of faith and technology.
