Apple is reportedly venturing into the realm of home robots following the setback of its electric car project. A recent report from Bloomberg reveals that a team of several hundred individuals is actively developing their potential first product: a robotic arm equipped with an “iPad-like” display. Drawing inspiration from Amazon’s Echo Show 10 and Meta’s Portal devices, Apple aims to make a mark in the home automation sector.

The project has been in progress for approximately two years, with a recent surge in efforts from the team. Unlike the relatively well-established market for electric self-driving cars, the home robot industry has seen many failed projects, apart from the success of iRobot’s Roomba and other robot vacuums. Apple’s foray into this challenging market showcases its commitment to innovation and pushing boundaries in the technology sector.
