OpenAI expresses interest in acquiring Google’s Chrome browser

An OpenAI exec mentioned during Google’s antitrust trial this week that the company would be interested in purchasing Google’s Chrome browser if it was up for sale.

Competition with Chrome on the horizon

OpenAI has reportedly been exploring the idea of developing its own web browser to rival Chrome. The company even brought on board former Google developers who previously worked on the Chrome project.
