Tesla’s sales in Europe are dropping while BYD’s are on the rise

According to recent data, Tesla is experiencing a significant decline in sales in Europe and the U.K., with a 49% drop in April compared to the previous year. This decrease is attributed by Tesla to CEO Elon Musk’s political activities.

**Shift in European Car Market**

While traditional vehicle registrations are declining, electric vehicle (EV) sales are on the rise in the EU, U.K., and EFTA countries. In April, EV sales increased by 27.8%, with hybrids also seeing growth.

Despite EU tariffs, Chinese manufacturers like BYD are making strides in the European market. Registrations of EVs produced by Chinese automakers, including BYD, saw a 59% increase in April, signaling a positive trend for Chinese EV manufacturers in Europe.
